Download Japanese Mod on NexusMods
Requires Titan Quest II (Steam, game version 0.7.1).
- Close the game and download the zip from NexusMods.

Copy the
TQ2folder from the zip into your game folder and merge it:Steam\steamapps\common\Titan Quest II\ - Launch the game and choose 日本語 - COMMUNITY TRANSLATION under Options → Gameplay → Text Language. After switching, it shows as 日本語.
Note: the mod only adds files and replaces no game files, so the other languages are untouched.
To uninstall: delete TQ2_ja.csv and TQ2Dialogues_ja.csv (in TQ2\Content\Localization\CSVTranslations\ExportForGame\), the _ja.srt files in TQ2\Content\TQ2\Data\Text\TimedSubtitles\, and the three TQ2_JPFont_P files in TQ2\Content\Paks\~mods\.

About This Translation
This mod lets you play Titan Quest II, the action RPG by Grimlore Games set in Greek myth, fully in Japanese. Everything in the current game version (0.7.1) is translated: about 19,000 strings of menus, settings, skills and modifiers, items and affixes, quests, lore, dialogue and cutscene subtitles.
The translation was made with AI and then checked and fixed by me while playing through the game. It is not a professional human translation, so you may still find the odd awkward line; if you do, please let me know.
What This Mod Fixes
- The whole game in Japanese: from the menus and skill numbers to NPC conversations and subtitles.
- A true Japanese font: Japanese text is shown in a font designed for Japanese.
- Natural line breaks: text no longer wraps in the middle of a word, in any text box and at any font size.
- Consistent terminology: Greek names in their established Japanese forms, and skills, attributes and status effects named the same way everywhere.
- A voice for every character: gods, companions, villains and villagers each have their own way of speaking, checked against who actually says each line in the game.
- A gender-neutral hero: the player character reads naturally whether you play a man or a woman.

What happens when the game updates?
Text that a game update adds or changes may show in English until the mod is updated. I plan to update the mod for new game versions.
Will this break my save?
No. Language is a display setting only, so switching does not affect save data. You can switch back to English at any time.
Can I use it with another Japanese mod?
No. Please remove any other Japanese mod first, since they use the same files.
Can I help improve the translation?
